• Bowie High School and the city of Bowie have established a partnership to allow students to apply as interns to various city departments.  These internships may be paid or unpaid, train-to-hire programs, or lead to potential scholarships. Departments participating are:

    • City Administration
    • Municipal Court
    • Community Development
    • Library
    • Fire Department
    • Electric Department
    • Police Department
    • Airport, Street, Water, & Sewer Department
    • Water/Wastewater Plant

    On Monday, November 18th students will tour the various departments and complete an application for employment. Next students will be chosen for interviews by a city employee in order to be hired. Students will be selected by the end of the fall semester and begin the program in January.  Adjustments may need to be made to current high school schedule to accommodate the program.

    In order to participate students will need to be on-track for passing all classes and be in good standing in attendance and discipline.

    Students interested in serving as an intern in any of these areas need to sign up with Mrs. Page in the office or on-line (using the link to the right) before November 8th
