Bowie Intermediate Families, Let’s Keep the Big Kahuna Momentum Going!
Parents and guardians, don’t forget about our Big Kahuna Fundraiser! We are off to a great start, and we are excited to see so many students participating! We have been making daily announcements to keep students motivated, and several students are already proudly wearing their lanyards with their prize characters around their necks. Keep up the great work!
We also want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to all the parents who have volunteered to help pass out prizes! Your willingness to give your time has been a tremendous help. Thanks to your support, along with paras and teachers who have volunteered to give up part of their lunches, we now have volunteers helping distribute prizes during every lunch, every day! We truly appreciate everyone stepping up to support our students.
Let’s keep this momentum going! The money raised through this fundraiser helps provide important resources and opportunities for our students, including field trips and a new speaker and microphone system that will benefit our students and school in many ways.
Thank you for your generosity, time, and continued support of Bowie Intermediate. When our school community works together, great things happen!
Let’s Be Great, Bowie Intermediate!
"I have watched her work hard, never give up, and steadily improve since 3rd grade. She is also kind to her classmates and is always ready with a smile."
Way to go, Kate! Thank you for your hard work, perseverance, and commitment to growing a little each day. You are a wonderful example of what we encourage all our students to do during announcements: “Work hard and grow a little today!”
Your determination and kindness make a difference, and we are proud of the positive example you set for those around you. Keep it up, Kate!

Mrs. Hughes shared these wonderful words about Nathaly:
"Nathaly's work ethic goes above and beyond in my class. She never complains, and I have never heard her say, 'I can't do that' or 'I don't know how.' She uses every resource she has to her very best EVERY day. Go Nathaly!!!"
Mrs. Yowell also shared how much she admires Nathaly's perseverance:
"I admire the way Nathaly has overcome so many obstacles. The new country, new language, new school, new friends. She never gave up, and you never see her without a smile on her face."
Way to go, Nathaly! Your hard work, determination, and positive attitude are an inspiration to those around you. You have shown us what it means to persevere, embrace challenges, and never give up. These qualities will take you far in life, and we are so proud of you!

We are looking for parent volunteers to help with the PTO Big Kahuna Fundraiser! Each day, students earn prizes by completing their fundraiser objectives the night before, and we need volunteers to help pass out those prizes.
We are opening up additional volunteer times during student lunches to make it easier for parents to help.
📍 Volunteer Times:
🌅 Morning: 7:15–8:00 AM
🍎 3rd Grade Lunch: 10:55–11:25 AM
🍎 5th Grade Lunch: 11:45 AM–12:15 PM
🍎 4th Grade Lunch: 12:25–12:55 PM
We will have a table set up in the cafeteria area for volunteers to pass out prizes.
Students have been told to hold on to their signed slips until they see a volunteer with prizes in the cafeteria. Once they find the volunteer, they can turn in their signed slip and receive their prize! 🎉
If you are available to help during any of these times, we would greatly appreciate it! Thank you for supporting our students and the PTO!
You can sign up for volunteer times using the link below, or just show up and tell the office staff you are here to volunteer for the fundraiser.

We are disappointed that we won’t get to share this routine with you today, but we look forward to performing it at Chicken and Bread Days 2027!
In the meantime, we hope you’ll come see what else our students have been working on! Join us on October 16th at the Jackrabbit football game, where our students will sing and sign the National Anthem!
Thank you for your understanding and continued support of our Bowie Intermediate students!

As of now, we are planning to move forward with the dance performance at 10:30 AM tomorrow. We will provide another update around 8:30 AM tomorrow morning if anything changes.
Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we continue to monitor the weather!

This award has a special connection to the history and tradition behind our Fighting Rabbit logo. The Fighting Rabbit represents more than just our school—it represents the character, determination, and spirit we want our students to carry with them every day. Through this award, we hope to continue that legacy by recognizing students who exemplify the qualities that make our school and community great.
Each week, teachers and staff will have the opportunity to recognize students who demonstrate outstanding character through their actions, choices, leadership, kindness, respect, responsibility, perseverance, and the way they treat others.
Students selected for the award will receive several special recognitions and opportunities, including:
📸 Their picture displayed in our cafeteria for everyone to see
🎤 The opportunity to help with morning announcements
🎁 Special prizes and rewards
⭐ Recognition for being a positive example to others
Our goal is to celebrate students who understand that being great isn't just about academics, t's about the kind of person you choose to be every day.
We are excited to recognize these students and continue building a culture where character matters, doing the right thing matters, and being great starts with the choices we make each day.
Be on the look out early next week for our first recipients!
