Out of an abundance of caution due to slick road conditions and wet grounds where our students would be performing, we have made the decision to cancel our dance performance at Chicken and Bread Days today.
We are disappointed that we won’t get to share this routine with you today, but we look forward to performing it at Chicken and Bread Days 2027!
In the meantime, we hope you’ll come see what else our students have been working on! Join us on October 16th at the Jackrabbit football game, where our students will sing and sign the National Anthem!

We are continuing to monitor the weather forecast. At this time, the forecast is improving, with a 60–65% chance of rain before or during our performance.
As of now, we are planning to move forward with the dance performance at 10:30 AM tomorrow. We will provide another update around 8:30 AM tomorrow morning if anything changes.

Bowie Intermediate is excited to introduce a new weekly award designed to recognize students who consistently demonstrate outstanding character both in and out of the classroom.
This award has a special connection to the history and tradition behind our Fighting Rabbit logo. The Fighting Rabbit represents more than just our school—it represents the character, determination, and spirit we want our students to carry with them every day. Through this award, we hope to continue that legacy by recognizing students who exemplify the qualities that make our school and community great.
Each week, teachers and staff will have the opportunity to recognize students who demonstrate outstanding character through their actions, choices, leadership, kindness, respect, responsibility, perseverance, and the way they treat others.
Students selected for the award will receive several special recognitions and opportunities, including:

Tomorrow is Game Day Bowie! Jackrabbits vs Callisburg Wildcats @ Jackrabbit Stadium. Game time is 7:30. Bleacher Creatures will meet at the tunnel at 7:10! We will be announced and run through the tunnel to the 50 yard line and back! Let's GO BOJO!

We are officially about one month away from our Bowie Intermediate STEAM Night on September 22nd, and we are excited about the businesses and organizations that have already committed to joining us!
We currently have about 10 vendors signed up, including the Texas STEM Lab, a few robotics groups, and local businesses. We would love to add a few more partners to the lineup!
If you own or represent a business and would like to show our students how you use Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or the Arts in your daily operations, we would love for you to join us and set up a booth at STEAM Night. This is a great opportunity to showcase your business while helping our students see how STEAM is used in the real world.

Thank you for helping make our first week of school a great success! We truly appreciate your patience, support, and partnership as we welcomed our students back.
As we prepare for our second week, we've received feedback from several parents about some confusion during afternoon dismissal regarding where the pickup line should begin. To help make dismissal smoother and safer for everyone, please refer to the attached map.
If you are picking up your child in the afternoon drive-through line, please enter and circle through the staff parking lot before joining the pickup line. This helps prevent traffic from backing up onto Highway 59 before we begin releasing students.
Once dismissal begins, the pickup line typically moves very quickly and should take about 10 minutes to complete.
Thank you for your feedback, your understanding, and your cooperation as we continue to improve our dismissal procedures. Your support helps us provide a safe and efficient experience for all of our students and families.

We wrapped up our first week back with our incredible teaching staff, and the excitement for a new school year continues to grow! We can't wait to see many of our little Jackrabbits and their families tonight at the high school football field for Hoppers beginning at 8:00 PM. It's going to be a fun evening filled with a great movie and even better company!
