Last night, the Bowie ISD school board approved the 23-24 school year calendar. BISD will move to a 4-day instructional week, with Fridays being the independent flex day for students and staff. This decision was made after research, surveys, a district forum, staff campus visits, and two calendar committee meetings. Our district will closely monitor the implementation of the 4-day week on student instruction, student outcomes, student and staff attendance, and student discipline for positive and negative effects. Please see the attached copy of the approved calendar.

M3 Band is hosting its annual CakeSpin this coming weekend, and you are invited! Our bands, choirs, indoor percussion, and winterguard will be performing, and they will have many amazing items we are auctioning off from businesses in our amazing community! They will also have a concession stand for when you get those hunger pains or need to quench your thirst! Hope to see you all there!

BISD would like to invite the community to a 23-24 Calendar Question and Answer Forum on March 2nd at 5:30 PM in the BJH Auditorium. Mr. Enlow will be giving information about four day week, the results of the community calendar survey, and answering any questions, you may have.
