Fall Individual Pictures will be taken at Bowie Junior High on Wednesday, September 20th. These pictures will be taken on a proof basis; no money is needed on picture day.

A Proof Flyer will be sent home approximately two weeks following picture day with your child’s Fall yearbook image as well as ordering instructions. Prints can be ordered by visiting our website and selecting your school’s gallery page at www.cjpphoto.com. You will use the online access code provided on your child’s proof flyer to access the gallery. Prints will be delivered to the school free of charge.

Bowie ISD is proud to share the upward trend in 2023 STAAR results. BISD improved at the approaches grade level (passing) rate in 15 subject-specific tests, with 2 additional tests maintaining the same percentage. BISD has worked very hard to hire quality teachers and focus on academics to help students succeed. #bowiebuilt
BISD will be having substitute training for any new substitutes for the 23-24 school year. Before allowing new substitutes on our campuses, we must provide you with an informative training covering BISD expectations from our substitute handbook, safety measures, and tips to help you succeed in the classroom. BISD welcomes all new and returning substitutes for the 23-24 school year. If you desire to become a substitute in our district, please apply and attend one of our 2 New Substitute Trainings.
If you are a returning substitute, you will receive an email with a video training to watch and a form to complete. Returning substitutes do not need to come to the face-to-face training as you did last year.

Today is the day BISD online registration opens! You should have received an email with information about Ascender Parent Portal with you your username. If you do not remember your password, click forgot my password and reset it. On our new bowieisd.net website, you can click on families in the top right-hand corner, and the link for Ascender Parent Portal will be available. Our campus registers will gladly help you starting July 17th if you need assistance. Please call your child's respective school. We are excited to be starting the 23-24 school year.
Bowie ISD is looking for multiple bus drivers. BISD will help you obtain your CDL with training and help with testing. We also have competitive salaries, work four days a week, and have a great staff! Join our transportation department!
