A Proof Flyer will be sent home approximately two weeks following picture day with your child’s spring image as well as ordering instructions. Prints can be ordered by visiting our website and selecting your school’s spring gallery page at www.cjpphoto.com. You will use the online access code provided on your child’s proof flyer to access this and all galleries. Prints will be delivered to the school free of charge.

Please make plans to attend the BHS Jackrabbit Preview on April 7. This is an essential night for entering freshmen and their families. EVERY parent must sign their child's graduation plan before a schedule can be handed out in August. Please avoid waiting until August to get this taken care of. Parents and students will be presented with options for their student's high school journey. There is a dual credit meeting beginning at 5:00 for any families interested in their child taking courses at NCTC in high school. At 5:30, the Jackrabbit Preview will start for all students. This is a great night to have all of your unanswered questions about high school answered by the ones who know!

Take a moment to check the BISD Dress Code visual and make sure the shaded blue area is covered: ✅ Shorts and skirts should be fingertip length or longer ✅ Shirts should cover the shaded blue area (no midriff showing and shoulders should be covered)

📢 BISD School Board Adopts 2025-2026 Instructional Calendar! 📢
After gathering input from our Calendar Committee, surveying parents and staff, and working closely with administration and school board members, the BISD Board of Trustees has officially adopted the 2025-2026 Instructional Calendar! ✅
🔹 What’s Staying the Same?
✔️ Monday-Thursday school week remains for consistency
✔️ Minimal changes to keep a familiar routine
🔹 Key Adjustments:
📅 Additional 2,100 minutes are required by the state due to the inability to secure a professional development waiver for the 25-26 school year
🍂 Students will attend Monday & Tuesday before Thanksgiving per the request of the survey🏈 Traditional Homecoming festivities will occur with a ½ day of school on September 19th
🇺🇸 Majority of stakeholders preferred school on Monday holidays to maintain Friday flexibility
⛈️ Bad weather days are scheduled for April 24th and May 15th if needed

This is the BJH Late Arrival Schedule.
Bowie ISD will begin at 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 19th. Although most roads are clear, there are some slick “black ice” spots throughout the entire district. Parking lots and sidewalks have some slick spots as well. This delay will allow buses, staff, and students to have ample time to cautiously arrive at school. Stay warm!
