Dear Parents,
We have had a lot of questions about the eclipse event on Monday afternoon. Due to the eye safety risk and age of our students, we are not taking the children outside to look at the sun. We will be watching the event on a live stream to ensure all of the students can experience the eclipse safely. If you would like for your child to experience the eclipse outside, feel free to come and check your child out at the front office. I recommend that you come a little early in case there is a line and wait time to have your child sent to the office.
There has been a board-approved change to the 24-25 calendar. In an effort to coordinate our spring break with NCTC and other schools in our county, we have adjusted the week of spring break. Nothing else has changed. Please dispose of the previous calendar and save the calendar with the stars at the top.
Bowie ISD will be sharing bond facts with its stakeholders throughout the next month.

On behalf of the Bands and Choirs of Bowie ISD, we would like to invite you to a night of fun, music, and cake! We will be hosting our annual Cakespin fundraiser on Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 5pm-9pm. Come for a little while or stay the whole time- you will NOT be disappointed! We will have live auctions, music from all BISD music groups, and even the winterguard will be performing! Admission is free, but if you want to get in on the cake action, tickets are $1 each to play for 6 for $5. You can even buy an all night ticket for $20 and every time your number is called you WIN! Come have a great time with us and help support our music departments!

Our second grade students will going to Bowie Intermediate on April 9, 2024. This visit will allow the students to see the building and get to know their new principals, Mr. Childers & Mr. Wesley, who will be hosting the tour.
