The Bowie ISD school board approved OPEN ENROLLMENT PRE K! Mrs Wheeler will be available Thursday, June 18 8:30-3:30 and M-Th June 22-25 8:30-3:30 at Bowie Elementary for you to come grab or fill out an enrollment packet! You will need a proof of residency (water, trash, electric, rental/lease agreement, builder's letter, contract of sale, or current voters registration card), birth certificate, social security card, immunization records, and copy of parent/guardian drivers license.

🚨 Important Vaccination Information for the 2026-2027 School Year 🚨

As we prepare for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, now is the perfect time to review your child’s immunization records.

Texas State Law requires all students to have updated vaccination records or a valid exemption on file before the first day of school.

✔️ If your child is fully vaccinated or has a current exemption (expires every two years) already on file with the school nurse — No action is needed!

❗ If your child needs vaccinations or you have not submitted updated records, we encourage you to take care of this over the summer to avoid any delays in enrollment.

SPRING 2026 BOOKFAIR IS COMING! April 20-24
Visitors welcome- teachers will be sending out the specific times for each of their classes. Please make every effort to come during that timeslot BUT we understand that may not fit into your schedule so come when you can. We would LOVE to have a few volunteers to work the bookfair. Interested? Call the front office (940) 689-2901.

The third and final meeting to share concerns or issues with district leaders is this Thursday, April 16 at 5:30. The forum will be in the BISD Administration building at 404 East Williams Street. If you are unable to attend, you may email Donna Hale, superintendent, any time at donna.hale@bowieisd.net with your concerns.
