If you will have or know of a child that may be eligible for pre-k (4yr by Sept. 1st) for the 2024-2025 school year, please come by and pick up an application! We would love to add them to our Bowie Elementary family! For any questions please contact the front office. (940) 689-2950

Remember the Back to School Fair this Saturday at 9:00 a.m. in the BHS Cafeteria/Gym! We are still taking donations and need volunteers. Please contact Tabatha Jones at tabatha.jones@bowieisd.net if you can help out in any way.

Please see the chart below for Bowie ISD campus school times. We have included when the front doors will open to receive students and offer breakfast. The start time is when students should be in their homeroom/first-period class to avoid being counted as tardy. We look forward to our students returning for the 24-25 school year.

Bowie ISD online registration for returning students opens today! You should have received an email with information about the Ascender Parent Portal with your username. If you do not remember your password, click forgot my password and reset it. On the bowieisd.net website, you can click on families in the top right-hand corner, and the link for the Ascender Parent Portal will be available. Our campus registrars will gladly help you starting July 15th if you need assistance. Please call your child's respective school. We are excited to be starting the 24-25 school year.

BISD needs additional bus drivers for the 24-25 school year. The BISD board just approved a pay increase for our bus route drivers. If you have any questions, you can call Cory Hickey at 940-689-2949.

As you prepare for the 24-25 school year, please see the school supply list for each grade level, PreK-8th grade. If your child will attend high school, they will receive specific lists at Meet the Teacher, which will be on Monday, August 5th. Also, all BISD students who need assistance with supplies and services are encouraged to attend the Back to School Fair on July 20, 2024.

We have important dates to share with you as we prepare for the registration and return of our students for the 2024-2025 school year. Please mark your calendars.

BES 2023-2024 yearbook sale is now open and accepting orders. The cost is $25 and you can place your order at https://shop.memorybook.com. Use school code 177306M. All orders will be made online. Sale closing June 30th. The estimated delivery date is August 5. We will be delivering to BIS for the upcoming third graders. Any questions or concerns please email bowiees.pto@gmail.com.

Bowie ISD has many camps for which you can sign your children up this summer. We have sports camps, art camps, and reading programs at the Public Library. Some camps start on Tuesday, May 28th, so check them out.

We are so lucky to have such a wonderful public library in our community. We encourage all our students to continue to read this summer and participate in the summer reading program at the Bowie Public Library. You can check out books and videos to keep your children busy this summer and enjoy the library's activities at the community center.

BES -Our lost and found is full!! Please come claim your child's lost items. All remaining clothing will be donated in June.

There has been a delay. BES K-2 students are now scheduled to leave campus at 9:00am. We will update you if that changes.

If you will have a child that could be enrolled in Head Start, pre-k or kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year, you are invited to come and meet the teachers and administration teams.
